Tyre: Israeli forces carried out an attack in southern Lebanon early Wednesday, marking the latest violation of a US-mediated framework agreement, Lebanese media reported. Israeli warplanes targeted the town of Majdal Zoun in the Tyre district, as stated by Lebanon's official National News Agency (NNA).

According to Anadolu Agency, no further details were immediately available regarding casualties or property damage from the airstrike. This incident occurs amidst ongoing tensions between Israel and Lebanon, following the outbreak of a new round of hostilities on March 2.

Since March 2, Israel has conducted extensive attacks on Lebanon, asserting that they are aimed at Hezbollah. In response, Hezbollah has launched counterattacks against Israel, effectively ending a ceasefire that had been in place since November 2024.

US-led diplomatic efforts resulted in the signing of a framework agreement between Israel and Lebanon in June. The agreement outlined a gradual Israeli withdrawal from all occupied Lebanese territory, in exchange for the deployment of the Lebanese army and the disarmament of armed groups in the region.
