Ankara: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, concluded the trading day at 14,575.51 points on Thursday, marking a decrease of 0.24% from the previous day.

According to Anadolu Agency, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index opened the day at 14,646.48 points. It experienced a loss of 35.41 points from the midweek close, with the index hitting a low of 14,539.39 and reaching a high of 14,698.96 throughout the trading session.

The total market value of the BIST 100 stood at approximately 14.18 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $295.27 billion. The trading volume was reported at 181 billion liras, or $3.75 billion. Out of the stocks listed on the index, 36 recorded gains, whereas 58 saw declines compared to the previous closing.

In the commodities market, gold was priced at $4,605 per ounce, and Brent crude futures were trading at $88.6 as of 1535GMT. Currency exchange rates also saw movements, with the US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate at 48.1320, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate at 56.2140, and the British pound trading for 65.6430.
