Cucuta: At least one person was killed and 11 others, including two police officers, were injured in a car bomb attack in Colombia, police said Tuesday. The bomb, concealed in a vehicle, exploded late Monday outside the Los Patios police station in Cucuta, a city near the border with Venezuela, according to a statement by the National Police.

According to Anadolu Agency, the explosion caused significant structural damage to the police station and destroyed several motorcycles and vehicles. Nine civilians were reported among the wounded in the attack, highlighting the widespread impact of the blast on the local community.

In response to the incident, President Abelardo de la Espriella stated on the US social media platform X that he has convened an emergency meeting. He emphasized Colombia's resilience by declaring, "Colombia will not kneel before terrorism."

As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, leaving authorities to investigate the motives and parties behind this violent act.
