Air France Refutes Claims of Weapon Transport to Israel

Paris:Air France has denied allegations from several unions that it was scheduled to transport weapons or ammunition to Israel. The unions claimed that mechanical components destined for an Israeli arms manufacturer were set to be shipped on one of the airline's flights.

According to Anadolu Agency, Air France clarified to broadcaster franceinfo that there were no bookings for the cargo in question. The airline stated, "Air France has no reservations for this type of merchandise on its flights, on the date indicated or any other date," and emphasized that it does not transport weapons or ammunition to Israel, adhering to international regulations on the transport of goods.

The union allegations were detailed in a joint statement by the CGT and Solidaires unions in Seine-Saint-Denis, alongside several affiliated airport unions. They asserted that the components were to be transported on flight AF966, departing from Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport to Tel Aviv at 9:35 AM (0735 GMT) on Thursday.
