Antalya:European Space Agency astronaut Marco Alain Sieber urged young people to take action without hesitation as the first step toward achieving their goals.
According to Anadolu Agency, Sieber, speaking on the sidelines of the 77th International Astronautical Congress in Antalya, emphasized the importance of trying, sharing that the path to becoming an astronaut begins with applying, just as he did. He recounted his own experience, saying he always dreamed of becoming an astronaut but never believed it would become reality. When the application period opened, he tried, despite expecting failure. His efforts eventually led to success, reinforcing his belief that one should pursue their passions and seize opportunities to learn and grow.
Sieber expressed his admiration for the congress, which he attended for the first time. He remarked on the event's impressive scale and extended gratitude for the opportunity to participate in Antalya.
The International Astronautical Congress, which began on Monday and continues through Friday, is organized by the International Astronautical Federation. It is co-hosted by the Turkish Space Agency and the SAHA Istanbul defense cluster, with the Industry and Technology Ministry organizing the event. Anadolu serves as the global communications partner for the congress, which gathers representatives from space agencies, companies, universities, and research institutions worldwide.
