Israeli Artillery Strikes Reported in Syria’s Quneitra Province

Baku:Israeli forces have reportedly fired three artillery shells near Tal Kroum in the countryside of Syria's southwestern Quneitra province.

According to Anadolu Agency, the incident was reported by Syria's Alikhbariah TV. As of now, there is no information on casualties or damage resulting from the shelling.

Since the fall of the Bashar Assad regime in December 2024, Israel has increased its military activities in Syria, conducting airstrikes on military sites and expanding its presence in the buffer zone of the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. Syrian authorities have denounced these actions as breaches of the country's sovereignty, urging Israel to adhere to the positions established in the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.

Furthermore, Damascus and Tel Aviv are involved in US-mediated negotiations to establish security arrangements and reinstate the 1974 agreement.
