Tehran: Explosions were heard on Friday evening in Iran's capital, Tehran, as the US-Israeli attacks on Iran entered their second week, according to Iranian media reports. The semi-official Mehr news agency also reported air defense activity in parts of the capital. No casualties or damage were reported.
According to Anadolu Agency, the Israeli army stated that it has commenced strikes on 'Iranian terror regime' targets in Tehran. Concurrently, US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that B-2 stealth bombers are executing missions under Operation Epic Fury, aimed at delivering long-range firepower to not only neutralize the immediate threat from the Iranian regime but also to dismantle their capacity for future reconstruction.
The explosions are the latest in a series of escalating tensions across the Middle East since the joint US-Israeli offensive on Iran began on February 28. This operation has resulted in the deaths of approximately 1,300 individuals, including the former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Tehran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries housing US military installations, leading to casualties, civilian infrastructure damage, and disruptions in global markets and aviation.
