Paris: China's defense minister met with his French counterpart in Paris to discuss bilateral ties and international issues, as reported by a statement from the Chinese Defense Ministry.

According to Anadolu Agency, Sebastien Lecornu, France's armed forces minister, welcomed Adm. Dong Jun and both agreed to enhance practical exchanges and cooperation between their nations.

The discussions included a comprehensive exchange of views on the relations between China and France, their respective military forces, as well as international and regional situations and mutual concerns.

Prior to the discussions, Lecornu held a reception for Dong, during which they inspected an honor guard, as detailed in a statement released by China Military Online.
