Kuwait city: Kuwait called on its citizens to stay home overnight Tuesday as a precautionary measure amid escalation in the ongoing war between Iran, the US, and Israel. In a statement, the Interior Ministry urged citizens to stay home between 12 am local time (2100GMT Tuesday) and 06 am Wednesday (0300GMT).
According to Anadolu Agency, the ministry emphasized that this measure is aimed at ensuring everyone's safety, enhancing prevention levels, and enabling security authorities to perform their duties efficiently. The ministry further stated that the measure is taken in the interest of maintaining security and stability, urging citizens to abide by rules and cooperate with the authorities during this period.
Regional escalations have continued to rage since Israel and the US launched an offensive against Iran on February 28. Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, causing casualties and damage to infrastructure while disrupting global markets and aviation.
