Abu dhabi: The United Arab Emirates expressed optimism on Thursday that Algeria's recent decision to cut diplomatic ties with Abu Dhabi would be a temporary measure. The UAE emphasized its dedication to maintaining strong bonds between the citizens of both nations.

According to Anadolu Agency, the UAE Foreign Ministry released a statement highlighting the significance it places on its international relationships. The ministry underscored its commitment to nurturing and enhancing these connections to support mutual interests and foster understanding, cooperation, and prosperity.

The UAE Foreign Ministry conveyed its hope that Algeria's decision would be short-lived and would not impact the friendly relations between the peoples of the two countries. The statement also acknowledged the importance of the Algerian community in the UAE and the role of Algerian visitors in strengthening bilateral ties.

The ministry reaffirmed its dedication to sustaining and enhancing these relationships and shared interests. Earlier in the day, Algeria declared its intention to cut diplomatic relations with the UAE, instructing the Emirati ambassador to leave the country within 48 hours.
