Two-time defending champion Aryna Sabalenka will face off against American Jessica Pegula, followed by Coco Gauff taking on Elena Rybakina. This is only the second occurrence in the Open Era where the top four women's seeds have reached the US Open semifinals, the first being in 1975.

In the men's draw, Alexander Zverev will compete against Karen Khachanov in Friday's first semifinal. Zverev advanced by defeating Botic van de Zandschulp 6-2, 7-5, 6-1, while Khachanov moved forward after Belgium's Alexander Blockx retired from their match while trailing 6-2, 7-5, 3-2.

The second men's semifinal will see Americans Shelton and Tiafoe face off, ensuring that a US player will feature in the men's final. Shelton eliminated defending champion Carlos Alcaraz in a grueling match that concluded at 3:33 a.m., the latest finish in US Open history, with scores of 6-7(5), 6-1, 6-3, 1-6, 7-6(7). Tiafoe pulled off a remarkable comeback against compatriot Alex Michelsen, overcoming a two-set deficit to win 5-7, 3-6, 7-5, 6-3, 7-6(6).

The women's final is slated for Saturday, while the men's championship match is scheduled for Sunday.
