Ankara:Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot condemned the latest Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, expressing solidarity with Riyadh and calling for civilian protection and regional de-escalation.

According to Anadolu Agency, Prevot stated that Belgium stands in solidarity with Saudi Arabia and fully supports the Kingdom following the recent deadly attacks. He described the assaults on Saudi sovereignty and civilian infrastructure as 'unacceptable' and extended condolences to the victims and those injured.

Prevot also highlighted the displacement of more than 200,000 people due to renewed fighting in Yemen, exacerbating the already severe humanitarian crisis. He called for an immediate cessation of the attacks, emphasizing the need to protect civilians, de-escalate tensions, provide humanitarian relief, and return to diplomatic efforts.
